The Garden Bell Series is a sculptural collection of hanging globe bells, each created from repurposed glass lighting globes transformed into vessels of sound, light, and reflection. Inspired by natural forms—such as the soft flare of manzanita blossoms—and the quiet resonance of ceremonial bells, each piece is an exploration of balance between the ethereal and the grounded.
Suspended from bamboo harvested by the artist and adorned with hand-selected beads—ranging from etched glass and coral to stone, sea glass, and brass—these bells celebrate the beauty of reclaimed materials and mindful craftsmanship. Clappers are often crafted from oiled wood and paired with stones or glass, creating gentle, resonant tones when stirred by the wind. Wind catchers are formed from metallic-finished tin or curved sea glass, subtly etched to catch light and movement.
Each bell in the series stands alone in its voice and character, yet together they form a chorus—a meditation on stillness, sound, and the art of renewal in the garden.
